W.E.ROCK "Rookie of the Year" Nominees
After a great 2007 season, W.E.ROCK has gathered the top rookies in each the Eastern U.S. Nationals
and the Western U.S. Nationals. Gathering a total of 8 teams all together, 4 from each coast, it was
no easy task as every rookie team had been nominated and all deserve great appreciation. Once all the
rookie teams have been gathered, W.E.ROCK takes the top 4 teams built off sportsmanship and standings.
The voting has taken place and only one from each of the two divisions will carry the title. The
only classes that are represented are the Pro Modifieds and Unlimiteds. All other classes are
considered entry level and teams do not get the option of nomintation until they move up.

The 2007 season was amazing for the number 777 Pro Modified Team of Tim Florian and John Moulden.
Florian, who went from spotting to formula toy championship, made the jump and placed 3rd in his first
National Series Championship Debut. Who the event pieces fell would determine Florian and Moulden's
road to rock crawling success. A 6th in Vegas during his first national series event ever while
driving the twisted customs built Trail Gear buggy would show that Florian would be a threat. Shortly
after he managed to pull off a second place and win (for Season Points as W.E.ROCK does not allow
spoilers for series points) in Globe, Arizona, which managed to pull him in 2nd place in over all
points. This made the other drivers step back and take a look at this rookie and wonder if he could
run away with the year. Florian and Moulden's threat on top contentions continued as the next two
events would fare well with a 4th place in Washington and scoring a 3rd place at Donner Ski Ranch
which gave him 386 points helping clench 3rd place in over all points for the Western U.S. Series.
Next on the sights was the Grand Nationals in Spring, Texas where the duo had a good first day with
scoring low in points. At the end of two days, Florian and Moulden would run into "The Shootout" in
6th place. Managing to record a fantastic run and capitalizing off other's scores, the team jumped one
spot and finished 5th in the largest and most exclusive Rock Crawling event in the country. Showing that
his great driving and his very capable twisted customs buggy will make him one of the top dogs fighting
for the championship for years to come.

As a first year team on the W.E.ROCK Circuit, Alan Woodson and Mark Smith have made an ultimate
impression. Being Nominated for the Eastern U.S. National's "Rookie of the Year," the duo has
consistently placed in the top six at every event and swiped a 3rd place at the Rausch event.
The tough courses at each Eastern U.S. Nationals event would put a damper on just about any
team, though these two didn't seem to flinch. This may be credited to the other regional events
the duo participated in as seat time and communication is the key to success in Rock Sports.
Coming in an actual tie for third place, Woodson and Smith bumped to forth based on the number
of wins rule, even though, look for this team as a definite threat for years to come with a 7th
place at the Grand Nationals.
Woodson and smith's attack for top honors would prove to be tense as the duo recorded two 4th place
finishes in the first two W.E.ROCK Events as well as a 5th and an 3rd. Their finishes as well as their
sportsmanship and presentation would aid his votes as all of the voters commented on how great working
with the team was.
